The next Wii Bowling for Seniors will be held at the library on Friday, November 20 from 12:00 noon until about 2 p.m. Refreshments provided, no sign-up necessary. We will also try out some Carnival Games.

Shows start at 3:45 p.m. each Tuesday afternoon. You must have a ticket to enter the room.  Free tickets will be handed out starting at 3:30.  Shows last approximately 90 minutes.  Snacks and drinks allowed.  Bring your own or have some popcorn!

The next “Wii Write” program will be held at the Gloucester City Library on Thursday, November 5 from 6:30 p.m. until about 8 p.m.

The program is for students in grades 4-8. No advance sign-up is required. Take part in a fun writing project, have free refreshments and play with the Wii.

Just check out something spooky, creepy or gross from our children’s section (fiction or non-fiction) and fill out an entry form. (You must be 18 years old or younger to enter.) The winners will be picked on October 30.

Prize #1 is the  Pirates of the Caribbean: The Black Pearl Pop-up Pirate Ship book.  (Recommended for under age 12, but if you are over 12 and would prefer it, make a note on your entry form.)

Prize #2 is The Reformed Vampire Support Group by Catherine Jinks. (Recommended for age 12 and older, but again, if you are under 12 and would prefer it, make a note on your entry form.)

A series of three programs designed to help with your job search will be presented at the Gloucester City Library.

Job Search Fundamentals:  Come and learn the best ways to find a job in this economy. This is an overview of searching for employment – we will discuss the internet, networking, finding ads, going to job fairs, and more.  Bring your questions to this informal session!  Conducted by professional career coach Karen Schneider, Thursday, October 29 at 7 p.m.

The Perfect Resume:  Get assistance with creating the perfect resume. Discuss methods used to emphasize marketable skills and use power words to describe past work experiences and skills. Sample resumes and cover letters will be reviewed and guidance will be available to review and enhance existing resume formats.  Conducted by Temple U., CCC & CCP Instructor Robert Marino, Thursday, November 12 at 6:30 p.m.

Nail That Interview:   This seminar is designed to prepare you for interviewing. Emphasis will be placed on types of questions asked, how to answer them, and why they are important. This informal session will help prepare you to plan for and land that perfect job.  Conducted by Temple U., CCC & CCP Instructor Robert Marino, Thursday, November 19 at 6:30 p.m.
